We currently offer LPA services to private healthcare establishments using laser or IPL (intense pulsed light) devices.
All healthcare establishments in Wales are required to be registered with Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and where services are delivered involving laser or IPL devices, the employer is obliged to appoint an accredited LPA.
Our service includes:
- Appointment of an accredited LPA
- Help in preparing risk assessments and local rules for laser/IPL safety
- Assistance in determining training requirements for laser protection supervisors
- An annual visit to undertake an audit of compliance with laser/IPL protection requirements
